Neat. I’m not 100% but I would check if the 3 wires are arranged the way you want them coming out of the TRS into the female side based on the faderbank and er301 port layout.

Bought one. Will confirm pinout when it arrives in 2-8 weeks :upside_down_face:

heads up - we’ve made this guide to i2c that should hopefully answer most questions: A user's guide to i2c - Monome - lines

if it doesn’t, please post in the thread so we can make sure it’s covered as well.

Quick note that I’m making my small run of 2HP i2c busboards with stereo jacks (the TXb) available on Monday. I’ll also have a very small number of i2c cables that swap the pins for connecting to the revision 7 ER-301 that will be made available at that time as well.

Store Opening on Monday January 28th at 2 PM PST
[ 5 PM EST / 7 AM (Tuesday the 29th) TST (Tokyo) / 10 PM GMT (London) ]

FYI. These swapped cables are only necessary for ER-301 with the older revision 7 hardware.

Eek! Hope I can snag one—I have an engagement at that time tomorrow. Thanks for your time and efforts @bpcmusic!

In at 16:04–did the reversed cables sell out, @bpcmusic?

Also curious. I grabbed a TXb but didn’t see the reversed cable available.

They must have. I had it in my cart, but it was gone by the time I went to close out. There is a gentleman in the 16n thread over at lines offering to make them also.

Thanks for the heads up @ReptilePyramid! I suppose my question is better-placed in that thread anyway.

Y’all do know those are just jumper cables? It’s the simplest thing in the world. Go to an electronics store, buy a fistful of female to female jumper cables for $0.50 and you’re all set. You don’t need to solder anything, just pay a bit of attention while wiring things up. You can’t destroy anything by wiring it up wrong, it’ll just not work until you fix your mistake, so there’s no risk of damage.

I hear you, but purchasing is a much simpler solution for me. I struggle to carve out time to patch synths as it is, and I’m not leaving the house til like spring cuz its -20f where I’m at lol.

Fair enough. I just wanted to point it out in case someone is actually worried about not having gotten in on the sale.

I do now :+1: Thanks!

I2c for dummies?? I love this Faderbank concept, and have a lead on getting the pieces for one but the part that I do not understand is how to actually connect it to the 301 via i2c? Obviously there’s the Telexb which is sold out atm (anybody selling one??? :sob:) but how do the controls actually show up within the 301? Are they just available alongside the other inputs? Is there a lot of programming outside of the 301 that needs to be done to make them get along? And are there other ways of connecting the faderbank to the 301 with i2c that’s not the telexb? Am I totally in over my head??? :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry for my absolute noobness as per usual! Any help is greatly appreciated!
