Back again, from inside my unofficial pirate ER-301 TV studio. In this video, I show how to set up one sound to choke another sound. I show the “classic” example here with a hi-hat, where the open hat sound should “choke” or quit ringing when a closed hat is hit or triggered.
This could be useful in making a drum kit sound more realistic, but there are probably some creative, less conventional uses for this concept too. Enjoy.
