Edit Controls -> Mute

Hello Everyone,
I can easily add a top level toggle that I can set to function as a mute if I add an extra module into the patch. However, in the (voice) patch I have, a SOLO and MUTE toggle already exists - but it’s one level down. I don’t want to have to go down sub levels (there are multiple voices). For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to address the mute button to the top level togle w/o adding an addition modle (x every voice). I’m already pushing 85% and would rather not add anything I don’t need to…

Any ideas?

I don’t think there’s anything you can do to essentially ‘promote’ those solo/mute controls up a level right now. Sound like you already know the methodology: add a VCA to the end of the chain and add a toggle control at the top level to control it.

Linear Bipolar VCAs are pretty CPU-light. Anything else you can do to optimize your patch to make a little headroom for those? That’s what I’d look at next.

Ah, too bad. Yeah, even though the VCAs are not very cpu-intensive, I’m running at 85% don’t want to push much more. When I’m ready perhaps I’ll share the unit so people can have a look at optimizing. Thanks!
