Envelope a sample?

Basic question - Just wanted to ask how you guys apply an envelope to a sample.

Doing some tests here and just adding the envelope after a grain stretch distorts the sample and I can’ really shape it

But @anon83620728, how do you trigger the VCA so it matches with the duration of the sample ?

You would have to consider how long your attack, decay and release portions last, then generate a gate of an appropriate length to make up the difference to match the sample length and set sustain to 1.0.

It may take some fettling!

Hehe, English is a crazy language, mostly because it’s just a big hodgepodge of a lot of the others, as a native speaker I still learn new words every day, the OED is insane:
