Er101 USB power

Hi,

Can anyone confirm that the 101 can be used just on USB power, as I have a strong 5v rail and a case socket it would be really nice to have this as a separate item that can serve a variety of uses outside of the modular case. With what would be a very easy to find power source.

Any assistance would be great

Sorry but the ER-101 cannot be powered with just USB. It needs the 12V rail to generate its output gates (0-9V) and its output CV (0-8.2V).

Does that mean with careful selection it could operate from a 12v dc brick? Much like Rene etc?
