Splitting input signal into three frequency bands

#1

Hi all!

I would like to split an incoming signal to three frequency bands, split frequencies, for example, 650Hz and 2.5kHz. I think the 3 bands unit will do a great job for splitting the signal into three pieces, but, using v0.4.11 and Joe’s Accents library, what are the best choices to isolate the frequency bands?

I already tried a LPF in the low band, Joe’s excellent BPF in the mids and the HPF for the high pass frequencies, but it sounds like the slope for these filters is not steep and I feel there is a lot of overlap that I want to get rid off.

Has anyone ever tried something like this before?

Best,
Marc

You can always chain multiple filters in a row to increase the steepness of the cutoff.
